Many of you will know me from my work with individuals and families around the ward. I have always made sure that when residents need help with issues I do everything I can to help them, whether this is getting the Borough Council to resolve an issue or pointing them in the right direction. Often issues can be complex and mean I have to work with both local authority officers and people from businesses or other organisations to get things sorted. I have built strong relationships that allow me to deliver better outcomes for Bockhanger residents.Having been re-elected as your Borough Councillor for Bockhanger Ward I will:
  • Continue working to improve the safety of the area.
  • Make the green spaces around the ward better.
  • Look for ways to get more local activities and amenities for young people.
  • Get more and better facilities for you and your family.
Some of what I have done since 2019:
  • Campaigning with residents for community facilities at Bockhanger Square, resulting in an improved offer of a minimum of 200m2 of space.
  • Supported Friends of Bybrook Nature Reserve (FoBNR) including using part of my Member's Community Grant to pay for a substantial metal shed, and contributing towards signage and sections of boardwalk.
  • Improving the zig-zag path through getting foliage cut back, paying for two new benches (from my Member's grant), and working with partners to get more lighting and CCTV.
  • Improving safety for pedestrians crossing the road leading to Grovesnor Hall by paying for two pedestrian mirrors from my Member's grant.
  • Pushing for new surfacing of lower part of Bockhanger Lane.
  • Paying (from my Member's grant) for two new goals at Rectory Way Park.
  • Supporting Sk8side youth activities from my Member's grant.

He is a supporter of Labour for a Green New Deal and is determined to see the UK meet the challenges of climate change in a thoughtful and proactive way that generates opportunities and transforms the economy to serve the many.
